We began providing cold storage services in 1989 from a 1.3-million-cubic-feet refrigerated warehouse in Perth Amboy, NJ, with 25 full-time employees and gross revenues of $3.6 million. We have since expanded to become one of the largest public refrigerated warehousing companies in the world. Currently in Vernon, CA we have immediate openings on second shift. 

Position Summary:

As a Warehouse Associate, duties performed will consist of an array of functions that may include but not limited to unloading and loading product and materials by hand, picking and filling orders from freezers, cycle counting product, movement of freight with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), keeping work areas free of debris, adhering to all stamping guidelines in accordance to FDA/USDA regulations, repackaging product, palletizing and sorting incoming freight, and staging outgoing freight.

  • Unload trailers/trucks/rail cars with or without material handling equipment 
  • Stack inbound product precisely as per pallet requirements.
  • Shrink wrap pallets tightly by hand from top to bottom.
  • Apply labels as required.
  • Run freight to and from the freezer.
  • Check orders for accuracy.
  • Count and match all receivables against Bill Of Lading/Tally/Packing Sheet.
  • Maintain compliance with GWP’s and all other food safety requirements.
  • Notify supervisor of discrepancies or potential hazards.
  • Move product to designated staging area for loading, processing or shipping.
  • Communicate with internal and external drivers.
  • Assist within other departments as necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to bend and lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly
  • Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills required.
  • Strong sense of urgency, ability to meet deadlines, and high level of attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working independently or as a team
  • Follow practices and procedures through a robust Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point System (HACCP)
  • Follow and enforce all food safety and quality requirements.
